Watch Out For The..

Posted in General at 4:22 pm by Christine

It’s not a myth.(Although it is beginning to feel like it…)

The site will be undergoing some changes over the next week, so if you experience some errors through your feed, and or when you browse over to AlterSage.com, don’t worry, its only temporary! We’ll have all the hiccups sorted by next weekend.

At which point you will also see why I’ve been too busy to blog ;)

In the mean time check out these snippets, although not new, I found them interesting.
MSN & Mobile Search - TellMe says MSN. “ Moreover, says Greg Sterling, building out mobile search could give Microsoft an inroad into Google’s dominance in general search.
I’m sure you’ve been glued to your screens on the Google-Viacom legal pandemonium going on at the moment…As per the Internet Insider:

“Viacom wanted headlines, and it got headlines, but $1 billion is “chump change in this league.” The injunction is much more damaging, although all this would likely do is force YouTube to develop a better way to weed out copyrighted content–something the Web giant was going to have to do sooner or later anyway.”

And who better than Google to take that on - cleaning up the results that is? BUT on the other hand…Google did not place those results on YouTube, the users did. That surely makes for an entirely different claim altogether..or at least just a rap on the knuckles to create a better copyright filter…
White Space. No, not the “white space” of zen like website designs. TV white space, empty channels of airwaves. Picture these “empty” airwaves providing web access? Not so far off according to the internet giants. Google, MSN, Hewlett-Packard, Intel and Phillips on Wednesday was expected to deliver a prototype device to the Federal Communications Commission built by Microsoft. It will undergo months of testing, but if it passes inspection, it could go to market by early 2009. Check out the pro’s & con’s of web access white space here.

Marital Bliss

Posted in General at 2:27 pm by Christine

Very quickly helloo - yes I am still alive and kicking and now also blissfully married :)
I am now officially Mrs da Silva

Joey, my husband, and I were married on Saturday 3rd of February in the stunning West Coast Nature Reserve at Churchhaven with reception at Geelbek. We have just returned, on Sunday the 26th January, from a 3 week short blissful honeymoon. I won’t be posting details today, but just needed to let everyone know not to delete me from their RSS Readers just yet…

To my husband, I love you and happy 1 month anniversary for tomorrow :)
AlterSage has not been on leave and, in-fact we took the laptop with us on honeymoon - yes we’re such geeks mouse-potatoes!
Being back only a week I have much to catch up on and many new projects on the go, one of which is to get my commercial site launched that I’ve been threatening to do for a very long time!

But first the land of SEO copy beckons…
